IOT skills are prime to build intelligent society with things

VTU sponsored State level workshop on IOT at PDIT Hosapete

‘IOT technology will be the part of todays integrated approach towards the need of the human race and things they use’. Opined Dr Balakrishna R Principal RRIT Bangalore.
 He was addressing the two days VTU sponsored state level student employability program on Internet of Things [IOT] at PDIT Hosapete .
He further said,’ Employability of student can be enhanced by learning IOT technology and for this there is a need to change in attitude of doing the things with relevant skill and understanding the nascent needs of the society.  Students should develop employability skill to be ready to absorb in the placement arena immediately. In this regard the students should keenly observe the needs of the todays generation and convert it into opportunity to cater it through IOT. IOT integrates the things and internet through minute needs of the society. Students innovative ideas can be transformed into patents to initiate the start up companies.’
Addressing the gathering Principal Dr S M Shashidhara said, ‘ IOT technology has already become part of our daily life in the present 4th generation of industry revolution and its use will be increasing exponentially within 10 years. Things will act intelligently with IOT integrated with human emotions.’
Dean of PDIT, Dr U M Rohith said,’IOT technology should be used taking utmost care about security and privacy of the people.  IOT smart cities, vehicles, hospitals etc will be in reality soon even in semi urban and rural areas’.
Delivering the presedential remarks, Chairman of PDIT Shri Janekunte Basavaraj said,’ Student should update with  contemporary knowledge by inculcating promising technologies like IOT, Machine Learning, Aurdino boards etc.
Guest of Honour,  Dr Venkatesh of UVCE, Bengaluru while addressing the gathering, ‘Students need 60% attitude, 20 % skills and 10% communication ability to grab the opportunities in current job sector. Governing body member Shri Ekamaresh Tandur addressed the students.
HOD & staff of various departments, 70 participants of various colleges from Banglore, Mysore, Hasan , Bidar, Hulkoti, Shivamogga other institutes attended the program.   Kumari Anusha S welcomed and introduced the gathering.  Kumari Priyanka presented the invocation song.  Programme was anchored by Kumari Arshiya Neha. Vote of thanks was delivered by Kumari Swathi.
